Jerome Fogel is a founding partner of Fogel & Potamianos LLP. He is known as a dealmaker and innovator in the legal community. He advises middle market corporations, venture and hedge funds, and sports superstars.

Jerome has a 360-degree view of dealmaking, as he specializes in mergers and acquisitions, representation of advisors and investors, representation of emerging companies raising capital, and venture funds deploying capital.

Jerome also serves as the go-to general counsel for a number of established and emerging middle market companies.  Clients appreciate his holistic approach to deeply understand their businesses and help them navigate complex legal environments to obtain results.

Jerome represents venture funds – from formation through their successive investments. With an intimate understanding of the ecosystem of venture capital, investors, and emerging growth companies, Jerome structures funds at the formation stage for the unique needs of each fund, performs due diligence for target investments, negotiate with target companies and investors, and performs post-closing compliance.

In the world of sports, Jerome advises the superstar and their family office, including negotiation of broadcast agreements, sports memorabilia agreements, licensing agreements, sports video game licensing, endorsement deals, production deals, event licensing, publishing agreements, speaking engagements, yacht purchases and sales, and other commercial transactions.

Jerome has been recognized in Chambers & Partners Calfornia Spotlight Guide for corporate law (2025 and 2026), the Legal 500 US Elite for corporate law and M&A (2026), and SuperLawyers® Rising Stars (2020 and 2021). He currently serves as an advisory board member to the Pedro Martinez Foundation and Co-Chair of the Celebrity Investor Committee for the Los Angeles Venture Association.

Jerome was a summer associate with law firm Paul Hastings LLP and began his career in business development at GE Capital.

Jerome is passionate about writing, leadership development, spiritual theology, and golf. He is the author of The Gauntlet: Five Keys for Unlocking Success in Leadership and has appeared on programs such as The Joy of Living with Barry Shore to reach the next generation of leaders. He is also a member of North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.

He lives in the Los Angeles area with his wife Sheri and their two daughters.
